Snickerdoodle Cookies

Makes 4 dozen

Ingredients

3 3/4 cups flour

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp cream of tartar

2 sticks butter

2 cups sugar

2 eggs

1/4 cup milk

1 tsp vanilla

3 Tbs sugar

Directions

In a medium bowl combine flour, salt, baking soda, and cream of tartar, then set aside. Add butter, and sugar, and beat until fluffy, scraping sides often. Add eggs—one at a time, then milk and vanilla mixing well. Add dry ingredients and combine well. If dough is sticky, place in refrigerator for about 15-30 minutes to chill.

Preheat oven to 375°, grease baking sheet, and combine 3 Tbs sugar with 1 tsp cinnamon in small bowl.

Shape dough into small 1 inch balls and roll in sugar/cinnamon mixture. Place on cookie sheet two inches apart, then flatten doughball with the bottom of a glass. Bake for 8 minutes or until golden. Cool on a wire rack and serve.

Hugs out! Laura
